2024 MHT CET Exam and Result Overview

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell (MHT CET) has announced the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) Results 2024 for PCM and PCB streams on June 16. The exam was held between April 22 and May 17, with an overall attendance percentage of 92.93%. Candidates can check their MHT CET results by visiting the official website at cetcell.mahacet.org. The answer key was released on May 21, and candidates had until May 26 to raise any objections. The final answer key will be published alongside the MHT CET Result 2024. The MHT CET scorecard includes details such as the candidate’s name, subject-wise and aggregate percentile scores, All India rank, qualification status, parent’s name, application number, subject details, and category.

How to Check Your Result

To check the MHT CET result, candidates must open the Maharashtra MHT CET website at mahacet.org, click on the “MHT CET 2024 Result” link, enter their login credentials, and click on the submit button. The MHT CET results for the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) streams have been announced together. The CET cell conducted the MHT CET exam for the PCB group from April 22 to April 30, 2024, and from May 2 to 16, 2024, for the PCM group. Before announcing the result, the CET cell released the Maharashtra CET answer key on May 21, and the objection window was closed on May 24 for PCB and on May 26 for PCM.

Candidates must log in and download their results online. After the result announcement, the MHT CET counselling process will start, with three centralized admission process (CAP) rounds taking place. For each CAP round, MHT CET seat intakes are released for BTech and BPharma courses in different participating colleges in Maharashtra. For students who want to enrol in engineering and pharmacy programs, the MHT CET examination is conducted. For the MHT CET examination, students must select either PCM or PCB as their subject. The exam format varies for the two groups. In 2023, 2,82,070 students registered for the PCM group, with 2,31,264 students taking the exam.

2023 Exam Statistics

A total of 3,23,874 students registered for the PCB exam, with 2,36,115 of them taking the test. In the MHT CET 2023, 28 students received perfect scores. To resolve ties in the MHT CET 2024 Results, candidates with the least number of incorrect attempts in Physics, Chemistry, or either Mathematics or biology will be prioritised. If a tie persists, those with the fewest incorrect attempts in Mathematics or biology will be given precedence. If the tie persists further, candidates with fewer incorrect answers in chemistry will be favored.

Tie-Breaking Criteria

If the tie still remains, candidates with higher scores in their Class 12 board exams will be preferred. If the tie persists even after the above criteria, the candidate who is older will be given priority.
